We are so glad you found our adoption site!

We are Luke & Si (pronounced ‘sigh’) together for 12 years and married for 8. We live just outside of New York City with our two dogs Jaxx and Fiesta. We have always wanted to start a family and are so excited to be on the road to adoption.

In this site, we hope to give you a peek into our lives, so that you can see the kind of life we will give our child. Whether exploring in the woods, playing with the dogs, traveling to visit family, seeing the world, or going overboard for Christmas, we can’t wait to show our child a life of joy and adventure. We are also committed to creating a balanced and grounded upbringing that emphasizes education and curiosity, personal accountability through chores like gardening, and exploring passions (whether singing and cooking like Si, art and the outdoors like Luke, or whatever they discover themselves).

Our Story

We are an adventurous, playful, loving couple who are committed to our families, to each other, and to our growth individually and together. We live in our forever home outside of New York City, which sits on 3 acres of fields and woods, and we are excited to welcome a baby into our country life with all the amenities of the suburbs.

After meeting in 2011 first as roommates and friends, we started dating. We realized we share so many interests: playing pool, cooking, TV series, comedians, and especially our shared joy of Christmas (check out our Christmas video!) We got engaged in December 2014 and one year later eloped in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, in a ceremony officiated by one of our good friends. We both have long-term, fulfilling jobs that guarantee this child will have a stable upbringing with all the love and attention they could hope for.

Our Home

In 2021 we bought our forever home. It sits on 3+ acres of flat yard, woods and rock faces, with plenty of wildlife. Our home reminds us of a ski lodge and the space inside and out will be so wonderful for the family we hope to build.

Since moving here, Luke spends a lot of time improving the land outside (cutting trees, clearing brush, landscaping). Si helps with the yard upkeep, and keeps the inside of the house beautiful.

When the weather improves, we love to spend time by the pool or in the garden, or walking the property with our dogs. Si is also a great cook, and grilling is one of his specialties!
